WE believe....

the CBC belongs to every Canadian. Is unique ability to connect Canadians to each other and to link Canada to the world is needed now more than ever.
Canadians want a truly independent voice, free from the demands of the state and the marketplace. To function as a democratic society, Canadians require opportunity for public participation at national and regional levels.
Canadian stories need to be told. In an era of cultural globalization we need access to Canadian stories, Canadian voices and a distinctly Canadian interpretation of international events.
CBC Saskatchewan is a cultural necessity, linking a million people, rural and urban. Nothing else does this as well. La communaute fransaskoise ne surviverait pas sans la S.R.C. All regions of Canada deserve such consideration.

We demand...

that the federal government make good on its election promise to provide stable funding for Canada's largest and most important cultural institution. The Canadian voting public understood "stable funding" to mean an operating budget no lower than the 1993 level.
that the federal government understand that we, the Canadian people, want to continue to have a public broadcasting network that is funded by sufficient tax dollars to enable it to fulfill its mandate.
