Robert Boyer
Bio
Robert Boyer was born in 1948 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Boyer received his Bachelor of Education at the University of Regina in 1971. Boyer is a Métis Cree Saskatchewan resident known for his politically charged paintings. Boyer joined the Saskatchewan Arts community in 1973 and worked at the Norman Mackenzie Art Gallery until the mid-1970s. He then became professor of Indian Fine Arts at the Saskatchewan Indian Federated College. Boyer passed away in 2004 during a powwow dance.
