Huang Zhong Yang
Huang Zhong Yang was born 1949 in Guangzhov, China. Huang was raised in an artistic family, at the age of four he was encouraged into Chinese painting and taught calligraphy techniques.
During the Cultural Revolution he and his siblings were forced by the government to leave school and work as peasant labourer's; enduring this hardship and the poverty he continued to paint throughout this time period with gusto.
Yang received two Master degrees in Fine Arts, one from his home province in China and the other in Canada, from the University of Regina, he had travelled to Regina as a student and remained to settle in to work and to live.
